Create employee survey: inclusion leads to better collaboration

What does inclusion mean in the working context in Switzerland?

Inclusion at work in Switzerland means that all people – regardless of their individual characteristics – participate equally in working life. It includes not only people with disabilities or health limitations, but also diversity in terms of gender, origin, age and social backgrounds. This also includes maintaining a job for people with chronic illnesses. An inclusive corporate culture lays the foundation for equal opportunities and enables everyone to reach their full potential. Studies show that an inclusive work environment can be a strong driver of competition and innovation.

How can companies in Switzerland actively promote inclusion?

How inclusive is your company? Today, diversity and integration are key values for a future-oriented organisation – but there is often a lack of specific data and clear impetus for action. The online Inclusion-Check employee survey is a scientifically sound tool for recording and analysing inclusion within organisations. The current status is determined by means of an anonymous survey and then illustrated in a graphic evaluation.

Political developments and legal framework conditions: how do they influence inclusion in Swiss companies?

Swiss employers are facing new legal challenges due to the partial revision of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), the inclusion initiative and the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

Partial revision of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA): the Federal Council aims to improve discrimination protection for people with disabilities in working life. There are new obligations for private employers and service providers to take appropriate measures to eliminate disadvantages. You will find further information at: Disability Act revision or UN-BRK influence

Inclusion initiative: the initiative strives for the legal and substantive equality of people with and without disabilities in all areas of life. The right to the necessary support and adjustment measures is demanded. You will find further information at: Inclusion initiative

European Accessibility Act (EAA): the EAA requires companies to design products and services such as e-commerce websites and mobile apps to be accessible. The law applies to all companies operating in the EU. Implementation must be completed by June 2025, with sanctions in the event of non-compliance. You will find further information at: European Accessibility Act
